KROKOFANT
Krokofant's sound is deeply rooted in the 70s, with subtle nods to King Crimson and Soft Machine, combined with a strong John Coltrane influenced saxophone. Even though this is not a rare thing in today's plethora of Norwegian jazz/rock bands, their sound is still quite unique, and Krokofant stands as one of the founders of the current progressive jazz sounds sweeping this Nordic country.
New album 6 is out on Is It Jazz? Records.
Guitar player Tom Hasslan and saxophone player Jørgen Mathisen will bring along drummer Ole Mofjell and bassplayer Rune Nergaard in this new version of the band. And having played with Hedvig Mollestad and Bushman's Revenge you know also they will be top notch musicians that will blow your socks off!
